VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES within the NEW HAVEN PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT

Welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to look at opportunities available right within your own community. Now is the time to take a moment, look around, get involved, and improve your own town. You’ll make it a cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable place to live for you and your family. As you read on, you’ll find a variety of opportunities available for many interests and personality types.  So come on! Get involved! We’d love to have you!

 To Get Started...

Before you can begin making a difference in your community, you must first complete a volunteer application and background check. This is a standard precautionary measure for everyone to ensure every person representing the New Haven Park Department is safe to be around children. Every volunteer will be held accountable just as an employee would to their place of employment.

Once the details are taken care of, you will be connected with an employee who is in charge of the area you are interested in volunteering. That person will help to coordinate your efforts, keep track of your hours, and assist you in any way that you may need.
