| Heatherwood Park is located at 920 Hartzell Road, New Haven, just behind the fire station. The park offers a small playground area and a grassy walking path through the woods. Heatherwood is a great place to stop for a relaxing lunch break. Recently, several of the trees were removed from the park. These trees were victims of the Emerald Ash Borer. The trees were dead and needed to be removed before they became a safety issue. The park will be the site of our next community volunteer planting effort on November 3, 2012.
