Single Sword Rapier

Love swashbuckling shows? Wish you could play with a rapier or a sword? Then this is the class for you! We will learn all the basic offensive and defensive moves and positions, as well as footwork. You will be able to work by yourself or with partners and have a chance to create small scenes. We will be using wooden dowel rods as our swords, but there will be real, unsharpened, battle ready swords to look at and feel. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Min/Max: 6/10

Intermediate Painting

Beginning Painting

Join instructor Sarah Rayle for a beginning painting class. In this class students will get a good understanding of color concepts and paint application on the first night. The second meeting students will block in color, work on the shadows and light areas. The third meeting they will the finish the layout, work in details and watch how to apply a finish. Reading Crochet Patterns

Do you like to crochet but have a hard time reading or understanding new patterns? Either bring in your own patterns or choose one of ours and we will show you how to create your new crocheted treasure. You can stay with the same pattern the entire run of the class or pick a new pattern each week. Please bring a hook size H, I, or J and skeins of yarn of your choice or one that your pattern calls for. You can also find free patterns hanging in the yarn section of Michaels and Jo Anns.

Drop-in Art

We will open our doors to anyone interested in dropping in to work on their own masterpiece. We will have tables and chairs set up and the coffee ready. Come and learn from other artists. Class is drop-in and you pay when you come in! Every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Ages 12 and up.

Cake Decorating

Learn to ice up and decorate your own 6" cake. You will learn basic techniques like using an icing bag and selecting the right tips, seeing the different spatulas and playing with colored dye.
