Safe Sitter

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate, hands-on baby-sitting course that teaches boys and girls ages 11 and up the necessary tools to care for children. Cirriculum includes life saving techniques, basic first aid, safety precautions to prevent accidents, how to care for children, prevention of problem behavior, behavior management, ethics and babysitting as a business. Teaching techniques include hands on practice, small group interaction games, role playing and discussion. Please bring a sack lunch for Saturday class. Min/Max Counts: 4/10

Horse Camp

New Haven Parks and Recreation is headed to the barn! Participants in this horse camp will gain an understanding of basic horsemanship and riding. Some experiences your little equestrian will have are tacking (putting equipment on the horse), grooming, and identifying the parts of a horse & saddle, and a daily horseback riding lesson. Upon completion of this 6 day camp, participants will not only have developed or improved their riding skills, and increased their knowledge of horse care, but more importantly, they will leave here with an amazing sense of accomplishment and self-confidence! Camp takes place under the supervision of talented staff at Legacy Stables.

Junior Golf Clinic

This is a great educational golf program designed for youth that are bigger and intermediate golfers. Participants will learn the FUNdamentals of golf like grip, aim, stance, and posture, the full swing, the short game, etiquette with the emphasis on FUN! Learn a game that you can play your entire lifetime and teaches valuable life lesson like honesty and integrity. Clubs will be provided for use if you do not have your own.
